No sign of major damage, minus the wing and engine that fell off.

And learn to fly again, learn to live so free.

When we hear the voices sing

The book of love will open up and let us in

I think you’ll need to rivet on some Tico straps to keep the wings straight.

Seriously, this headline is like a Craigslist ad. Stock, except for this extensive list of mods.

T hat’s what it looks like when you crash your plane but it wasn’t hit by an Iranian anti-aircraft missile battery...

At least it’ll be no Herculean task to get it in the air again.

Another example of how photos can be misleading. If I hadn’t bother to read the headline, I’d have just assumed that a large portion of the wing had broken off, taking an engine with it, and that the plane had made a belly landing in a field causing at least some additional damage to the lower fuselage. But, from the text, we know that none of that actually happened and the plane is actually  totally fine.

No major damage here? Is that the aeronautical equivalent  of “ran when parked”?

Looks like the split occurred at the manufacturing center wing / outer wing mate joint.   We can  stitc h th at back up. Might need some new landing gear and some structure work on the trusses, but the rest is cosmetic.
